Hold a mirror to your heart, what does it reflect?
This image available for collection right now is a coalescence of powerful female energetics. In Love from the Roots the lyrical activists Alixa and Naima of Climbing PoeTree are shot behind a light screen directing their combined force to a paper cut-out of a taro root. The paper root is crafted by Swoon, who is widely known as the first woman to gain international recognition in street art. The taro root is a food staple in much of the world. It is known in Hawaiian custom that fighting is not allowed when a bowl of taro poi is served.
